In this thesis,sixteen lanthanide.complexes have been prepared and characterized through the self-assembling of N-(2-(8-hydroxylquinolinyl)methane(2-(4-imidazolyl)ethanamine))with diversified lanthanide salts.And four lanthanide complexes by using PAN as the ligands have been obtained as well.All twenty complexes have been fully characterized by IR,TG,UV,single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis.The complexes are known as:Ln(NHME)2(ClO4)-2CH2Cl2[Ln =La(1),Ce(2),Pr(3),Nd(4),Sm(5),Eu(6),Gd(7),Ho(8),Er(9),Yb(10)],Yb(NHME)2(C104)(11),Ln(NHME)(NO3)2DMS0·CH30H[Ln =La(12),Pr(13),Eu(14),Gd(15),Yb(16)],Ln2(PAN)2(OAc)4·2H2O[Ln =Yb(17),Nd(18)],Ln(PAN)2(OAc)-H20[Ln =Yb(19),Nd(20)].The near infrared investigation have been taken on the complexes 4,10,16,17 and 19.The introduction of distinct anions originated from the lanthanide salts would have led to the lanthanide complexes,where various coordination environments of the lanthanide ions have been observed.Near infrared investigation reveals that the ligand N-(2-(8-hydroxylquinolinyl)methane(2-(4-inidazolyl)ethanamine))could efficiently sensitize the Yb3+ and Nd3+ ions,transferring the absorbed energy into the centers.Meanwhile,it is found that PAN ligand could be a good candidate to efficiently sensitize the Yb3+ centers.This work has furnished the synthesis,structure and neat-infrared studies on the lanthanide complexes,assembled about the 8-hydroxylquinoline-2-carboxaldehyde derivates and the lanthanide salts.The results pave the way to potentials as promising materials.
