As one of the Chinese traditional handicraft,the needlework has a long history and rich cultural connotation.The ancient needlework mainly includes:textile,embroidery,sewing,dyeing and knitting.About the several contemporary techniques,his paper will talk about them,not only from the art itself,is more concerned about the different medium,different means,and different concept of needlework another explanation,to discuss the application of traditional needlework in contemporary art.The traditional art of needlework in addition to the practical technology is also endowed with ritual patriarchal morality and unique spiritual connotation,which is in the development of the unique needlework gradually establish a unique social symbolic symbols.But with the development of the society,the contemporary art of needlework techniques appear constantly,and change its use in contemporary art has occurred with the traditional needlework which contains the aesthetic value and social meaning.In the context of this kind of culture,his paper will combine with my creation,this paper focuses on the analysis of the contemporary art of needlework bound and free,winding and extension of art form.Through inherit the development of contemporary art,the traditional needlework with a new look again active in the artists and audience.Including painters,sculptors,photographers are trying to use needlework elements applied to the works,and among them the male artists.This paper will discuss the application of the technique of textile,embroidery,knitting and the materials of silk,rope,cloth by several contemporary artists exploring the combination of the method of needlework elements and other media,think about depth of needlework art which hidden behind the intertexture of beauty,life and emotion.
