Heavy oil and ultra heavy oil are important parts of the world energy, they also account for large parts of oil reserve of China. Because the viscosity of the heavy oil and the ultra heavy oil are sensitive to the temperature, lots of methods in order to increase the temperature of the reservoir, the flowability of oil, to reduce the flow resistance and the viscosity of the heavy oil have emerged, they all focus on heating the reservoirs and the fluid in them. Such as steam flooding, steam drive, steam huff and puff and in-situ combustion. Steam Assisted Gravity Drainage (SAGD) and Steam and Gas Push (SAGP) which derives from SAGD are the relatively new techniques among them, both of them can achieve good results in exploiting heavy and ultra heavy oil reservoirs in the laboratories, but rear real applied examples of SAGP in the field were reported in the oilfield. This thesis choses the typical super-heavy oil sand stone reservoir as the subject and combines the exploitation realities, the features of fluid and the formations of X-I District of LH Oilfield to optimize the SAGD production parameters of horizontal well pair in X-I Group via numerical methods which is based on the field testing, comparing and petroleum engineering studies,, besides that, some dynamic predictions were made by numerical simulation. What’s more, this study focus on some studies and optimizations target at the SAGP, which was brought out in order to solve the problems of high water-cat, the irregular developments of steam chamber, the dropping of oil recovery in the late period of SAGD and bring out the optimized production parameters innovatively using the methods of numerical simulation. At the same time, the dynamic predictions of these parameters were made which can provide a scientific and effective reference to the usage of SAGD and SAGP in exploiting such kind of heavy and ultra heavy oil reservoirs and it can also become a good example and reference of using and popularizing the technologies of SAGD and SAGP in exploiting heavy oil reservoirs similar to the X-I District.
