The Changes And Its Causes Of Regional Distribution Of FDI In China

In recent years,regional distribution of FDI in China has changed obviously.On the one hand,reflected in the diffusion of FDI from coastal areas to inland,on the other hand,reflected in the change of FDI regional distribution in coastal areas.Although FDI partly spread from coastal regions to inland,but the coastal areas as the agglomeration highland of China's FDI remain unchanged.FDI regional distribution changes in coastal areas is obvious.Originally,FDI in coastal areas mainly distributed in Guangdong and Fujian Provinces.Then,the actual use scale of FDI in Jiangsu Province had caught up with Guangdong Province.In recent years,parts of the provinces in north China significantly enlarged in actual use of FDI.FDI regional distribution pattern in coastal areas have changed.Basing on the changes of regional distribution of FDI in China's reality,changes of the regional distribution of FDI in the coastal region of changes and its causes were studied in this paper.Basing on the data from 1995~2014 on national level,this paper made a statistical analysis of the present situation of regional distribution of FDI in China.Then used data over the years,for examples,the actual use of FDI in coastal provinces(city,area)and China's FDI main sources direct investment in major provinces to reveal the changes of FDI regional distribution in coastal areas.Secondly,this paper uses the panel data model to make empirical analysis of the effect factors of FDI regional distribution in coastal areas.Empirical analysis finds that the size of the market and infrastructure,human capital and cluster are the important factors influencing the FDI regional distribution in coastal areas,and significantly positively related to FDI scale.Therefore,government in coastal areas should expand the size of the market,to increase human capital accumulation,play agglomeration economy effect,effectively improve the infrastructure construction to attract more FDI inflows.
