The Construction Of Beautiful City:Connotations,Assessment And Countermeasures

It has been a huge challenge to the management and construction of modern city since the economy develops rapidly,and the growing scarce of natural resources.Meanwhiles,a majority of individuals live in city.In 2012,the eighteenth National Congress of the Communist Party of China had come up with a strategy of constructing a beautiful China,higher standards were put forward to the development of the city.In view of that,being the center of a regional,city must be constructed visionarily,so as to build a beautiful city.Three subjects were studied in this paper.Firstly,what the connotations and the characteristics of a beautiful city are.In addition,on the base of analyzing the first subject,we puts forward the concept of index of beauty,and set up a corresponding index system to analyze the space-time characteristics of cities in our country.Finally,it is obvious that some corresponding recommendations for construction of the beautiful city should be listed.In this paper,starting from the connotations and characteristics of beautiful city,we argue that the evaluation index system of beautiful city including the beauty of economic development;the beauty of comfort;the beauty of ecological security.Twelve factors were considered to reflect the ecological beauty,economic beauty,social beauty.Considering the construction of ecology,economy,society,culture,polity of city jointly,humanist and the importance of the construction of ecological civilization were emphasized.Using the method of dynamic factor analysis to analyze the 73 cities of China in 2003-2013,which is a kind of panel data for empirical analysis.It showed that:these cities can be divided into three groups: the first include 9 cities: shenzhen,Shanghai,Xiamen etc.The second group include 24 cities and the third include 40 ones.In 2013,the structure of regional beauty index is like a pyramid,from 2003 to 2013,the gap between advanced cities and lagged cities is widening.It means that much efforts should be taken to close the gap between advanced cities and lagged cities.
