Located in the northwest of Wenzhou, Yongjia County is a county that are both largely based on economy and tourism. Rapid economic development of nearly two decades brings great adjustment and changes to land use structures. It makes a major point on providing references and directions for Yongjia's land use planning over the next few years that they analyze its land use changes and trends and find out driving factors.According to the data of land use changes from 1996 to 2013, the paper displays the characteristics of Yongjia's current land use and its changes, and transfer matrix based on the vector graphics from 1996 to 2013. It directly reflects transfer of all kinds of land. What's more, it applies principal component and regression analysis to the research on main factors influencing Yongjia's land use changes. In the end, the paper makes a summing up of existing problems and carries out suggestions and optimizing directions.Through the study we can see:among all kinds of land use patterns in Yongjia, woodland covers the most of land, about 70.60%, then follows the farmland,14.47%; from the aspect of land use changes, the area of farmland, grassland and other lands is decreasing, while garden, woodland, urban village and industrial land, land for traffic water and water conservancy facilities are increasing; seen from transfer matrix, there is transfer happening among all kinds of land patterns, in which comes the most is the changing of other land to woodland. In quantitative and qualitative respects, the paper shows the analysis of driving factors on Yongjia County's land use changes, and applies principal component and regression analysis to finding out that the population is the leading factor influencing the county's economic development and land use changes. The main problems existing in land use:decreasing of farmland, amount of construction land impeding economic development, forest land improving environmental insufficient capacity, the general plans for the land use being watered down and so on. To cure the above problems, this paper presents some reasonable suggestions like effectively protect farmland, improve the utilization rate of construction land, strengthen ecological protection, strengthen the general plans for the land. At last optimizing adjustments on land use structures of all towns based on the actual situation.
