The development history of city commercial Banks in China is not long, only more than ten years, but its development is rapid, in the bank level system in our country, it has been in the "third tier", after in state-owned commercial Banks and joint-stock Banks. Although due to historical and realistic factors, it also exist in the shortage of many aspects, such as capital, assets scale, corporate governance and development strategy, but it has played a huge role in support local economic development, people's livelihood services, to promote financial reform and maintain the healthy development of the economy, making up for the big commercial Banks a lot of blank in the field of management, it is an integral part of financial market in our country.In the more than 10 years of development, there has been the profound changes in the external environment of the city commercial bank's development, for example, foreign banks enter into China, and lead to a banking competition further intensified, in 2008 the global financial crisis lead to the stop of the bank. IN the face of the complex external environment, city commercial banks are in the adjustment and reform. The development of part of the city business after adjustment and reform is good, such as bank of Beijing, Shanghai, Jiangsu, its asset size is over one trillion Yuan, but part of the city business assets still hovers around ten billion Yuan, as a result, city business development within the difference is in constant increase. If we regard 200 billion asset size as the standard of the large and medium-sized city businesses, and as of the end of 2014, total assets are of 7.7628 trillion Yuan in the firm under $200 billion, account for only 43%of the total scale of city firms. How to guide the small and medium-sized city commercial bank become a realistic and urgent task.The study of city commercial Banks have many at home and abroad, but most of them regard it as a whole, the city business development within the difference is very big, if treated, conclusions will be different. Therefore, this article selects one of the very representative firm-the bank of Zhengzhou, designed to guide the city of smaller businesses, to find a suitable for their own development.From the perspective of development strategy, first of all, the small and medium-sized city commercial bank's development process are summarized, raises the existing problems and the necessity of strategic choice; Secondly introduces the three strategic choice for small and medium-sized city commercial bank mode, comparing and analysis; Again the typical case of Zhengzhou bank were analyzed, and use the relevant development strategy theory, deeply analyze Zhengzhou bank business and a detailed discussion on its development strategy; Finally summarizes success and failure of the Zhengzhou bank development strategy, provide constructive Suggestions for other small and medium-sized city commercial banks.In writing and innovation point in the study, this article mainly has the following two points:first, many other scholars research regard the firm as a whole, I would focus on the inside of small and medium-sized city commercial Banks, and select one representative firms of Zhengzhou bank, provide reference for other small and medium-sized city commercial banks firm; Second, I combined with previous research and the development practice of the city business, strategic choice of the city business is summarized as three kinds of modes:excellent regional Banks, joint-stock Banks and national positioning and specialty boutiques. Aimed at helping small and medium-sized city commercial banks find a correct road of development.
