In 2011, the National Grassland Ecological Benefits Reward Policy all initiated eight main prairie pastoral areas in the country. The Inner Mongolia autonomous region actively implement the national policy, according to the situation of grassland ecology and the carrying capacity of natural resources, formulate the award criteria, prize area, tonic. Award types of policy content, based on the control of grassland livestock scale, strive to achieve the target of "grazing prohibition cannot raise, reducing livestock meat, and livestock reduction".
