The revenue is $14 million per year. The size of company is the in the top rank in china. But after 7 years, the operation of organization was becoming to run slowly. The operation system and process are not effective. At the same time, tooling center is in an embarrassed situation. Why? Because tooling center just can search orders from internal sub-company. But sub-company can select supplier freely. It means that the tooling center will be shut if it haven't competitive advantage.I have studied the application situation of six sigma in domestic and overseas company in the thesis. I have stated the operation situation of tooling center from people, culture, political, tooling industry. And I have stated clearly the competitive situation of tooling center by Five Forces Model. All these proves that it is necessary and viable to implement six sigma in tooling center. Then we set the project name "Reduce the lead time for Lisle die spare parts". We use the statistical tools to find out the root cause and solution. Finally, this project was been implemented successfully. And the good results included lead time reducing, cost saving, quality issue reducing, order increasing. The study result provide reference for others company which is the type of single producing.
