The Research On The Data Quality Process Management For Information System Of GW Co.

Nowadays,the Mobile Internet and Internet of Things(IoT)technology are rapidly developing.As a result,the global data storage capacity is also rapidly increasing.According to the data statistics from IDC(International Data Corporation),in 2015 the global amount of data storage has reached 8ZB.It is expected that in 2020,the worldwide amount of data storage will reach 35.2 ZB[1],which is a signal that the world has entered the Era of Big Data.The State Council of China issued the "Platform for Action to promote the development of Big Data."[2],which proposed to make great efforts to develop Big Data technology.From the standpoint of this,the data science has risen to a level of national strategy and is regarded as a new engine to promote national economic development and enterprise management reformation.To give full play to operational efficiency and competitive advantage from Big Data,the companies must have accurate,reliable,timely and high-quality data.Companies can make accurate decision,develop on-demand products,improve customer satisfaction and enhance corporate image only when potential valuable information can be searched from high-quality large-scale data.Therefore,the companies need to focus on data quality and enhance data quality management.However,in the early development stage of corporate information systems,the information systems in different departments are relatively independent.The data standards and data quality rules are also different from each other.This makes it difficult to share data between different departments,resulting in data inconsistency and poor data quality.As huge amount of data cannot be effectively analyzed and utilized and useful information in the data cannot be excavated,the phenomenon "the mass of data,lack of information" arises in companies.Therefore,in order to break the information silos among information systems,GW Company founded a monitoring center to achieve a 24-hour online monitoring on the operational data of the company.This center is also responsible for monitoring the operation and management activities,analysis and inspection.The study in this thesis is based on the information support system of GW Company's operations center.By combining the relevant theoretical researches on data quality rules,data quality checks and process management,the management process of data management in GW monitoring center will be systematically built up to strengthen their data assets management,promoting the operation of the company to be safe,orderly,healthy and efficient[3].In this paper,a plan to improve GW Company data management is proposed in two aspects,the reformation of data quality management structure and data quality content optimization.By analyzing the situation and problems of the organizational structure of data quality in GW Company,an information system data quality process management organization chart is proposed in this paper.The data quality process management will be carried out in small groups to break the barriers between functional departments of the GW Company and improve data quality management efficiency.It is also proposed in this paper that data access to ETL processes and data quality checks and regulations improvements are important parts of the information systems data quality work content.It is important to improve data quality management information system processes from standards-based integration and standards-based control.
