Guangzhou Port Comprehensive Competitiveness Evaluation Based On AHP Model

Effectiveness of modern economic and social system is determined in the logistics, personnel flow, information flow, capital flow speed and quality. As the main carrier of the flow, transportation is the foundation of modern economic and social survival and development. As an important infrastructure sector, water transport plays an irreplaceable role in the comprehensive transportation system. Sitting on the coastal edge, the comprehensive strength of Guangdong Province is quite strong so that the development of port economy is of the great significance.In order to conduct studies on the competitiveness of our port, this paper conducted literature review for the current research, and followed by a summary of the current port competitiveness evaluation theory and methods to determine the thinking of research in this paper. Taking the Guangzhou port as an example, through the comprehensive competitiveness analysis, mainly around the Guangzhou port location, this paper analyzes the current situation of port construction and operation ability of the three major aspects of its comprehensive competitiveness. Found deficiencies in the development of Guangzhou port and the problems. Then analyze the influence factors of port comprehensive competitiveness. Construction of evaluation index system of the comprehensive competitiveness of Guangzhou port. To determine the weights of evaluation indexes of each index system by using the AHP model, and fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method based on the evaluation of the comprehensive competitiveness of Guangzhou port. In order to enhance the objectivity of the evaluation and persuasion, this paper compares Guangzhou port with Shenzhen and Hong Kong port to more able to find their own competitive strength. Evaluation of comprehensive competitiveness of Guangzhou port and based on the results of comparative analysis, to improve Guangzhou Port comprehensive competitiveness, the author puts forward some suggestions for improvement, mainly is to make full use of the existing investment construction, consolidate and expand the domestic supply of goods; integrate internal and external resources, improve the comprehensive capacity of port operation; scientific development of port resources and increase the port service function. Finally research conclusion and research prospect.
