Now China has entered into the comprehensive wealth management competition age. Especially for commercial banks, with high-growth, highprofit, low-cost, and low-risk features, they have become major direction for them to proceed strategic transition. Meanwhile, the rapid development of Chinese economy and constant promotion of financial globalization provides good external environment and favorable competitive chance for the wealth management business in Chinese commercial banks. Therefore, how to have a correct understanding of the development direction and problems of wealth management business in commercial banks on the basis of current modes; how to make use of our own platform’s advantage to cooperate closely with non-bank financial organizations under the premise of loose policy plays an vital role in making deep analysis on business mode and profit way, promoting bank wealth management transition, and achieving financial system reform and letting finance serve for the real economy.On the basis of arranging domestic and foreign relevant literature and practical data, first, the thesis analyzes the wealth management business in Chinese commercial banks, including the situation of change of layout of bank financing market, current situation and problems of wealth management business development in commercial banks, and discussion of cooperation mode with non-bank financial organizations under new policies. By combining foreign advanced bank asset management business modes, the thesis proposes business transition analysis and relevant risks and so on. By taking Z Bank Branch in Nanjing as an illustration, the thesis analyzes the current competitive situation, opportunities, and challenges by making model and data analysis on the current situation of customer, product sales, marketing mode of its wealth management business. Based on the previous analysis, the thesis innovatively proposes the idea of establishing branch of bank asset management and pushing all-round “network supermarket” platform out. The thesis also gives advices for the current situation that can be improved to achieve business transition and customer group subdivision, to achieve transparent and regulated wealth management really, and to create the customer asset allocation-oriented development advice.
