Process Standardization On Prophase Development Of Product D In S Company

The popular of personalized manufacturing drives that the manufacturing industry in China has to find new promotion, development or transformation, which owns unique project properties. Along with such changes, project management, as a systematic managing method, is appeared to help companies improve management system, measure and method.Company S, manufacturing auto components, is one of earliest joint ventured companies in China, whose deep-rooted traditional management way and nature pattern of prophase development fails to match the changeable and personalized customer requests. According to some figures, during 2009 and 2012, the lost rate of new projects is 40.8%, which is mainly caused by improper technical solutions. And further study shows a root cause that the company lacks of standard solution-making process.Basing on current work status of Company S, the process for technical solution making of prophase development is studied and the draft one is designed for further application in new project MQB A2/B1 to test, modify and final standardize. The knowledge of project scope management is not only used in the project of process design but also applied creatively to guide work process of making technical solutions by 5 procedures, demands analysis, project launch, plan making, work breakdown structure and change controlling. On the other hand, the process was show in a style referring to project management process while not the traditional one, which can clearly show the input and output information of each point. Such style can not only improve the visual management but also the work efficiency. In the end, the gain for new projects in 2014 verifies the effectiveness of such process even though it will need continuous improvements in more coming projects.
