Withtheincreasedcompetitionamong enterprises and the application of Internet technology, traditionally closed innovation model cannot meet the needs of enterprise innovation. Open innovation has become a new choice for enterprises. As a new kind open innovation, crowdsourcing contests attract more enterprises gradually. Along with the development of crowdsourcing contest, fraud behaviors occurfrequently. The lack of trust towards sponsors among solvers has a serious side effect on the innovation performance. The existing research mainly focus on analyzing how internal and external motivation affect solvers' participation behavior through the empirical analysis, while seldom of them do research on how the motivation affects innovation performance. Andthere isstill a lot of conflicting research results.Although a few literatures empirically investigate the impact of the lack of credibility in crowdsourcing contest, the existing researches lack of in-depth study ontrust on the performance. Therefore, this paper attempts to investigate the impact factors of solvers' performance ofcrowdsourcing contest andprovide guidance for companies to usecrowdsourcing contest effectively.Based on the prior research results on motivations of solvers in crowdsourcing contest, solvers' innovation performance and trust, this paper investigates the mediation effect of effort andintroducestrust as an intermediate variable to build up the model of impact factors of solvers' innovation performance. And then taking the solvers from“www.zhubajie.com” as the research object, we designed a questionnaire and conducted a survey on the people who works in the crowdsourcing community. In addition, we used networkdatascrapingtechniques to collect relevant data. Through empirical study, some conclusions are given as followed.(1)The internal and external motivations are an important factor influencing the innovation performance. The study found that both internal motivation(playfulness, skill development, self-efficacy and focused attention) and external motivation(encouragement-award, perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness) have a significant positive influence on innovation performance. Compared with internal motivation, external motivation's influence on innovation performance is more significant.(2)Effort plays a mediating role in theprogress that internal and external motivation affect innovation performance. The internal and external motivation influences the solvers' innovation performance through the effort, but it is not full mediate effect. It plays a role as partiallymediates.(3)Solvers' trust towards sponsorsplays asa moderator role in the process internal and external motivations effectinginnovation performance. Compared with the internal motivation, the moderator effectis more significant in the process external motivation effecting innovation performance. If the level of trust for solvers towards the task sponsor is low, external motivation's positive effect on innovation performance becomes weaker. If the level of trust for solvers towards the task sponsor is high, external motivation's positive effect on innovation performance is more significant.
