For multiple attribute decision making problems, there are actually correlation relations between decision attributes, which is difficult to deal with using traditional multiple attribute decision making methods. As a kind of multiple attribute decision making method concerning attribute correlations, C-TODIM is the most popular approach in practice. It not only takes into account the psychological behaviors of decision makers, but also concerns the attribute associations, which extends the multiple attribute decision making applications. However, when making decisions, decision makers often show different degrees of hesitation or lacks of knowledge. By increasing the intuition description abilities, fuzzy membership functions can be employed for more realistic and accurate evaluation on the attributes. Motivated by this idea, this thesis introduces fuzzy mathematics into the C-TODIM method to better solve the decision problems with attribute correlations. The main content of the paper is organized as follows.Firstly the features and properties associated with C-TODIM decision-making method are investigated along with case studies on the implementing performance of the algorithm, which laid solid foundations for the subsequent algorithmic improvements.Secondly, considering the psychological behavior of decision makers in decision-making, the real value, the interval and triangular fuzzy number, the trapezoid fuzzy number, intuitionistic triangle fuzzy numbers are integrated as the intuitionistic trapezoidal fuzzy number. Combining the intuitionistic trapezoidal fuzzy number with decision attribute correlations, an improved C-TODIM based on intuitionistic trapezoidal fuzzy number attribute evaluations. Finally, the proposed method is applied to a multiple attribute decision making problem of knowledge type employee performance evaluations. The algorithm comprehensively considers the psychological behavior of decision makers and the relationship between decision attribute, obtaining satisfactory results and consequently verifying the effectiveness of the proposed method. Using Visual Basic 6.0, a knowledge type employee performance evaluation oriented application system is developed Based on the proposed approach.
