The Current Situation And Countermeasure For The Production Of Abalone In Dongshan County

Dongshan County is one of the top hundred counties of fisheries in China and ten strong counties in Fujian province.The scale of abalone cultivation in Dongshan County is gradually growing in recent years with the development of science and technology and the advance of seafood farming technology.Large scale factory of abalone aquaculture promotes the development of the surrounding related industries.Abalone industry has now become important industry and promoted the development of ocean fishery economy in Dongshan County.Abalone is rich in minerals,amino acids,and polysaccharides with the function of improving the immune system and lowering blood sugar.Abalone shell is also very valuable medicinal herbs,containing antioxidant activity of water-soluble matrix,which has important application value.At present,the total number of abalone factories in Dongshan County is 1700,with annual breeding capacity 1.6 billion.In the period from 2011 to 2014,total output of aquatic products is 1.3284 million tons,of which produced 15310 tons of abalone.Annual output of abalone gradually increased.At the beginning of 2015,the export of abalone accounts for 68.3% of the county's aquatic products.However,the abalone is currently dominated by the sale of fresh.The processing methods are still traditional and primary.There are less deep processing products and product innovation is slow,causing the problems that the value of abalone is not fully enough,the utilization rate of the product is low and the added value is little.It also caused the pollution of the environment and the waste of raw materials.In this paper,the status of abalone breeding,processing and consumption in Dongshan County were investigated.The development and utilization of abalone products in Dongshan County were analyzed by SWOT.The advantages,disadvantages,opportunities and threats of the exploitation and utilization of abalone products in Dongshan County were pointed out.The internal conditions and external factors of abalone products were analyzed.It will help to play the full advantages,seize the opportunity and reduce the negative effects of the product.At the same time,it also puts forward the development strategy of the abalone industry in Dongshan County.
