Human resources are the most important resource of organization. Performance management is the core of human resource management,and also is the effective means to optimize the allocation of human resources. Performance management is the part of an organization strategy and the concrete embodiment of the organization culture.It is the foundation of the organization to carry out other management. The characteristics of engineering design institute determine that human resources are the important resources and competitiveness of the organization. Therefore, it is particularly important to strengthen human resources management.Especially, it is very important to strengthen the core competitiveness of the design institute through performance management.Based on the modern human resource management theory and performance management theory,the paper analyzes the problems and their reasons, explores the performance management of Daqing Wanfang engineering design institute.The paper studies the performance management of Daqing Wanfang engineering design institute from four aspects.First,it analyzes the present situation of the performance management,and discusses the existing problems.Based on it,the paper constructs the performance management system of Daqing Wanfang engineering design institute, and clarifies the goals and principles of performance management, and the PDCA cycle construction process.In order to promote the operation of the performance management system smoothly,the paper puts forward measures,such as changing the thinking of performance management, strengthen the leadership of performance management, to encourage participation in the performance management of engineering design institute,strengthen communication of the performance management, the using of PDCA process management mode to carry out the performance management,and improve the existing salary management system etc..
