Since the practice of the policy of opening up and reform in china for nearly 30 years, economic and social development has made unprecedented achievements. Many large enterprises, such as Lenovo, Haier, have been set up and developed rapidly, meanwhile, hundreds of thousands small-and-medium-size private enterprises have emerged just like mushrooms. All these enterprises have injected new vitality into China's national economy and become the main force of China's economic development. However, the current situation is that the markets of technology, production, and equipment are all very mature, so the competition for talent among enterprises and the so-called soft competition have become a major factor which will lead to victory in the market. Therefore, many managers want to achieve their own core competitiveness, and always maintain the leading role in the market. So it is very essential that we should enhance human resources development and management and improve the performance of employees. For employees, the traditional performance evaluation system has let them feel tired, by the contrast, they pay more attention to their positions and participation in the enterprise and justice of evaluation. The combination between enterprises and the goals of individual employees requires that enterprises must establish a comprehensive and recycling performance management system. In the system, performance evaluation will be no longer isolated and the results can be used to all aspects of management. Then managers and employees can also jointly participate various steps of reform through a two-way communication, conduct a comprehensive reform of performance management and promote the enterprise to achieve sustainable improvement through the scientific cycle of mechanisms.Therefore, this article ,under the guide of performance management theory, has done an in-depth research and study the performance management system reform and design of SD Furniture Manufacturing Co. in Suzhou WuZhong economic development zone. The main structure and content are as follows:The first part: the background, the research purpose and meaning and main ideas and methods.The second part: performance management theory, the application of PDCA Theory in China's manufacturing private enterprises.The third part: the current conditions of SD such as development, performance management and main problems and analysis.The fourth part: putting forward the reform program with PDCA as the core of the performance management system and the integration of respective human resources modules, the various departments and the overall strategy of the enterprises.The fifth part: the main conclusions of this paper and the existing problems during the research.
