With the rapid economic and technological globalization, innovation has become an important source of regional core competitiveness. Shanghai Zhangjiang national independent innovation demonstration zone as the main battlefield Shanghai innovation-driven restructuring and development of the practice area and the Yangtze River Delta economic zone restructuring and development of the Yangtze River, Shanghai is to build a global innovation center, striving to be the vanguard of reform and opening up and development of innovative forerunner Core Support carrier. R & D is an important part of technology innovation, research and development to build a network for the industry’s core competitiveness of great significance. This study selected the integrated circuit and the biomedical industry, Zhangjiang is focused on creating "e industry" and "medical industry" core industry, but also experience and comprehensive knowledge of technology-oriented industry, science and technology and knowledge-oriented analysis representatives of industry. Analysis on a variety of spatial scales characteristics of different types of industrial R & D network and comparative analysis, innovative research on economic geography spatial heterogeneity of technology and knowledge industry, rich in theory; in practice for more scientific formulation, elasticity, reflecting regional innovation policy and industrial technical knowledge particularity differences, and promote technological innovation and industrial transformation and upgrading of great significance.Relying on article sites available on the CMC Zhangjiang Business Directory(http://www.zhangjiang.net/Default.aspx?tabid=147), the State Intellectual Property Office patent search and query system(http: // www.sipo.gov.cn/zljsfl/) of integrated circuits and biomedical two clusters each firm or public R & D institutions patent search, based on patent data and social network analysis and Unicet 6 software development network characterization, and overall network and Zhangjiang Park- Shanghai-China- and other global networks view multiple spatial scales, analysis of network structure characteristics, and comparative analysis of the two industries, the following conclusions:(1)For the purposes of integrated overall R & D network,(1) research joint research and development was not obvious, in cooperation with universities and research institutions is weak;(2) significant differences in industry segments, manufacturing and design industry as the main patent, from joint patent situation, the manufacturing sector is still the main joint patent, but poor as an integrated circuit design industry but the most important performance;(3) enterprises dominate the R & D network, the overall network immature, presented to leading enterprises as core "core- periphery" structure. For different spatial structure characteristic scale R & D network in terms of:(1) in the Zhangjiang Park, R & D network density is very low, materials and equipment in the most developed part of cooperation within the cluster;(2) The Shanghai R & D network density is still low, and research institutions, Contact the University more closely;(3) from the national scale, the close ties to Beijing, Taiwan, indicate the geographical neighbor of the integrated circuit industry is not obvious;(4) a global scale, the development of local enterprises and multinational corporations less cooperation, but returnees talent has become increasingly prominent role.(2) For the purposes of biomedical research and development network,(1) research collaboration developed distinctive characteristics;(2) public R & D institutions dominate the R & D network, the cluster is not large enterprises play a leading role;(3) overall R & D network structure presentation to public research and development institutions at the core "core- periphery", but the strong links between enterprises, especially with the group. For multi-scale structure of the network in terms of research and development:(1) in Zhangjiang internal R & D cooperation, while increasingly strengthened, but the network density is still low;(2) The Shanghai public R & D institutions in the development of the network highlighted the role;(3) from the national scale point of view, geographical proximity effect is more obvious;(4) from the point of view of global scale, multinational companies and local enterprises will not high.(3) As a comprehensive knowledge and experience in technology-oriented industries, representatives of scientific and technical knowledge and analysis-oriented industries, bio-pharmaceutical industry research and development of integrated circuits and networks have some common features and differences. Common features of both mainly in:(1) internal R & D network density Zhangjiang Park are low;(2) public R & D institutions in Shanghai Zhangjiang Development are more prominent role;(3) as two important sources of technology industry cluster of multinational companies, and local less the amount of corporate R & D cooperation. Differences in characteristics between the two main manifestations:(1) different level of cooperation and research, integrated research cooperative R & D is weak, and strong research and development of biomedical research cooperation;(2) different spatial distribution of R & D cooperation, mainly in the IC R & D cooperation Shanghai outer regions, and domestic linkages geographical proximity is not obvious, and biomedical research are more concentrated in the interior United Shanghai, and domestic linkages geographical proximity obvious;(3) dominant force in R & D network is not the same, mainly for the integrated circuit enterprises led and biomedicine are mainly public research institutions, the lack of leading enterprises.
