| In the era of economic globalization, culture is of great importance to one country’s comprehensive national strength as it is linking more and more closely to economy and politics. Culture can strengthen a nation’s cohesion through the creation of people, which ultimately affect the comprehensive national strength through the transmission of cultural industry. In present society, culture inevitably to participate in the great communication and competition in the worldwide, and the cultural trade is playing an extremely important role in the integration and collision of culture. Enhancing the international competitiveness of China’s cultural trade and trying to gain the initiative in the cultural trade competition, so as to strengthen the influence of Chinese culture and improve our comprehensive national power, even to realize Chinese dream of great national rejuvenation.Based on the systematic review of relevant literatures and results at home and abroad, this paper attempts to analysis factors of the competitiveness of China’s cultural trade from the new perspective of geo-factors. By analyzing and summarizing predecessors’ research results, we conclude geo-factors into three dimensions of geographical relations, cultural relations and institutional relations, and then respectively analyses their impact mechanism to the competitiveness of China’s cultural trade, to build a theoretical framework of the infulence of geo-factors on the competitiveness of China’s cultural trade. Then, according to cultural trade statistics data of China in UNCTAD STAT, we analyse the general situation of China’s cultural trade, China’s cultural trade geo-pattern and the status quo of the competitiveness of China’s cultural trade. Based on the analysis of theory and situation, this paper selected the cultural trade data between 32 countries or regions and China during 2003 to 2012 to conduct an empirical analysis of the above influence and moderation with the expanding trade gravity model. The results show that the geo-factors will have a significant impact on the competitiveness of China’s cultural trade. And, the greater the three dimensions are, the weaker the comprtitiveness of cultural trade is. Finally, based on the full text analysis, this paper could put forward some relevant policies and suggestions of improving the the competitiveness of Chinese cultural trade, so as to provide certain references of promoting the development of cultural industries and cultural trade in our country. |
