The Development Analysis Of The Trade And Port Logistics Between Xiamen And Taiwan

In recent years,with the advance of Regional Economic Integration,the development of Xiamen and Taiwan ushered in new opportunities and challenges.Xiamen and Taiwan have the same origin,so they have the incomparable advantages to construct the West Coast of Taiwan Straight.The main form of communication is the trade and port logistics between Xiamen and Taiwan.They complement each other.Looking for a long-run equilibrium relationship between trade and port logistics will provide a theoretical basis for cooperation between Xiamen and Taiwan.This paper uses the combination of qualitative and quantitative methods to analyze the development of port logistics from the angle of trade and port throughput of Xiamen and Taiwan.Then this paper discusses how to strengthen the cooperation measures about port logistics.Firstly,the paper will analyze the problems of trade between Xiamen and Taiwan from the angle of the overall economy,the foreign trade and the trade between Xiamen and Taiwan.Secondly,the article will analyze the problem of the development of port logistics of Xiamen and Taiwan from the angle of port facilities,logistics and the advantages of port.Thirdly,using the development problems of port logistics as the starting point,the paper uses the Gray Correlation to analyze the correlation of trade and port logistics between Xiamen and Taiwan,establishing the VAR model and VEC model to investigate the relationship of long-run equilibrium relationship or short-term non-equilibrium between them,then the paper analyzes the impact of trade and port logistics for regional economy between Xiamen and Taiwan.Finally,on the basis of empirical analysis,the paper analyzes the necessity of port logistics cooperation between Xiamen and Taiwan,proposing the cooperation measures of port logistics between Xiamen and Taiwan and some recommendations for the future development of the Xiamen Port.
