Iron and steel industry is the basic industry of the national economy. From the Initial Period of China to the present, the steel industry of China has become stronger. Now China is a veritable big steel country. Due to the slowdown of China's economic growth in recent years, the demand number of iron and steel declines sharply. The main means of iron and steel enterprises to cope with the winter period is multi-varieties and small-batch production. Higher requirements are put forward to product quality and production process. Based on the long process of iron and steel enterprises in general, high temperature and other characteristics, the process control is difficult. To do this, steel companies need the help of new technological means to achieve precise control of the production process. The Internet of Things technology is the third wave of the information industry after the computer and the Internet. Many governments have paid attention to it. This technology has been used in supply chain management, manufacturing, health care and other industries, considering cost, technology, internal and external environmental and other effect factors, the Internet of Things has not yet been applied in a wide range. To explore the main factors affecting China's steel enterprises to adopt the technology and how the Internet of Things technology, the enterprise external environment and interior environment affect the perceived usefulness and the behavior intention of adopting the Internet of things, a model based on Technology Accepted Model(TAM) was built. The scaling of reliability and validity of the model was tested through SPSS 17. 0. With Data collected from pre-survey companies. Then the final scale was revised and built. The proposed hypotheses were tested by performing structural equation modeling with AMOS 17.0. The results show that the influence of the enterprise external environment and RFID technology on the perceived usefulness was significant, while the interior environment affect the perceived usefulness insignificantly. In the external environment, the attitude of customers, competitors and other industry on the Internet of things affected the perceived usefulness significantly. The relative advantage of the Internet of things was the key consideration when companies adopted technology. In the internal environment, the influence of top management attitude on the perceived usefulness was minimal. Meanwhile, to measure the demand degree of the Internet of Things in the Iron and Steel Enterprises conveniently,a quantitative model was proposed. Firstly the relationship between the field mobility and the demand degree of the Internet of Things was analyzed according to the steel enterprise status and a function was recommended. From the view of lean thinking 3 indicators were chosen, namely the consistency of process tact, the stability of process operating time and the WIP inventory cycle time. Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution(TOPSIS) based on entropy weight was used to evaluate the field mobility. The evaluation value was input into the demonstrated function to calculate the demand degree of the Internet of Things. Finally, a research was done in B Iron and steel enterprise.data recorded on Value Stream Mapping was used to verify the feasibility of the model. A new direction for the acceptance of the Internet of Things was put forward.
