Research Of The Value Stream Mapping Techniques Based On The Instability Of Working Processes

Due to the influence of various environmental factors on the actual production system, the cycle time of a production process is fluctuant. The traditional VSM technique does not include the indicators which can reflect the above problem, there are some defects when using VSM to analyze. Therefore, the purpose of this thesis is to improve VSM in unstable production process. Thus VSM technology can be applied to the actual production activities in a better way.The thesis recognizes that there are many influential factors in the production system through the basic research on the Lean Production and the production system. These factors will result in the fluctuation of the production cycle time, and the fluctuation will have negative effects on the production system. Therefore, the thesis uses mathematical methods and proves that there will be a large work-in-process inventory in the production system when the production cycle time is fluctuant. It is thus clear that the unstable production process has a negative impact on the production system. Based on the effects of unstable production process, the thesis proposes the concepts of Process Collaborative Capability and Process Collaborative Capability Index, and constructs the calculation and evaluation methods of the Process Collaborative Capability Index by combining practice.In order to apply PCC to actual management, the thesis proposes a set of methods to improve PCC, thus the stability and effectiveness of the production system with a lower score in PCCI can be improved. Finally, the thesis applies the methods for the PCC improvement to the actual case of the Q Company's production center, and the PCCI of the production center is improved through a series of improvement activities.
