Since China's accession to WTO, The degree of opening to the outside world are further, there is steady rise of foreign trade. Meanwhile, As the world's largest developing country and largest developed country, the economic and trade cooperation between China and the United States are deepening. The two sides have each other's second largest trading partner, and the independence of each other is increasing. At the same time, trade friction between the two countries are frequent. Especially, the United States has abused trade remedy measures against China. It seriously affected the normal trade between the two countries. There have the domestic political reasons, both have the economic factors after Subprime Lending Crisis. In the use of trade remedies, the most frequent measures are antidumping and countervailing measures. Therefore, in order to defend its own interests to the greatest extent, the Chinese government and enterprises should take precautions and active measures. They should strengthen the research on antidumping and countervailing of the United States, reduce adverse effects to China.The study focuses on the situation, reasons and the effect of the USA's antidumping and countervailing towards China as well as the methods to deal with the problem. This study firstly described the antidumping and countervailing international rules, the main trade protection theories. Secondly, the study analyzed the present situation and features of American anti-dumping, countervailing policies, especially in recent years, the changes, then analyzes the reasons and effects of American anti-dumping and countervailing towards China. Finally,the study proposed targeted suggestions for China.
