| With the further development of modern information technologies, the digital trends of social production and people’s livelihood are more and more significance. Propose of the "Internet Plus" made E-Commerce a part of daily life of our people. As a critical link of E-commerce, the mobile payment industry is changing fast against a background of more concern and supportive policies, higher consumer needs and further maturity technologies.As a wholly owned subsidiary of China Mobile Communication Corp (CMCC) who focused on mobile payment since 2006, D company had launched mobile payment services such as Mobile Payment and Mobile Wallet and then combined them into a new production named "He Packet", which covered remote payment and proximity payment. However, compared with the other mobile payment company Alipay, which is set up with D company at the same time, the performance of D company is not good. The analysis on the macro environment for mobile payment in China revealed that mobile payment industry in China has been into a rapid development period, there has been a huge market with fierce competition. But pattern of competition of the market was still changing, all companies in the market still have upside potential. Analysis on the competition environment of mobile payment industry revealed that there are three kinds of competitors in this market:the communications operator, the financial institution and the third party payment enterprises. With the encouragement of the license of the third-party payment, all enterprises are digging their own advantages to occupy a place in the market.To formulate its development strategies, the paper carried on a SWOT analysis on the mobile payment business of D company after described the present situation and strategy layout of it. The results revealed that D company is facing more opportunities than threatens and having more strengths than weaknesses. According to the macro environment, the paper suggested the D company take SO strategy in the future development of its mobile payment business. Also, the paper proposed six measures to implement the strategy. Finally, the paper proposed three measures to ensure the smooth implementation of the SO strategy, including build professional talent team, establish independent innovation mechanism and make the best use of all resources of CMCC. |
