Research Of Schedule Management For BG Group Learning System Construction Project

Schedule Management is one of the important contents of nine knowledge areas in the Project Management Knowledge System. Time, cost and quality are the golden triangle of projects, Schedule Management is the core of Project Management. The contents of the Project Schedule Management generally includes two parts-Schedule Plan and Progress Control. Planning is the foundation, Progress Control is the key. IT projects are often accompanied by many changes and risks, Schedule Management is a key and difficult problem.Based on the development trend in future business, BG group tries to build a convenient, efficient, frontier learning management system. The system which includes staff learning platform, learning business processing platform, reporting platform, integration platform and mobile, learning platform, has the characteristics of complex composition, tight time schedule, the arduous tasks, etc.Based on the Modern Project Management Theory and Project Management Theory, This article uses BG group Learning System Construction project as an example, combining the characteristic of IT projects, presents the method of Project Schedule Planning and Control Measures, guide the project to achieve target. The main achievements of this study are as follows:(1) By introducing and analyzing the characteristics of BG Learning System Project, the article developed a scientific and reasonable schedule. With the help of WBS tool, the work package of the project first to be refined and decomposed. Than the logical relationship between various working procedures to be studied. The group must estimate the activity time, draw up network diagram and Gantt chart, and find out the key route. At the last, this paper make overall plan and the detailed plan, providing a benchmark for progress control.(2) Schedule Management System was established according to the schedule plan. Because of limited time and resource, the article should focus on the critical path to design a schedule control processes and methods, so as to effectively control the project progress, ensure that most project actual progress control in the plan.(3) Stressed the unique role of classification management, classification authority in scheduling management. Management is an art of authority, from the application study of view, it emphasize the step by step to plan, step by step to manage, step by step to check, to ensure the effective implementation of schedule management measures.(4) Pay attention to the human resource allocation for IT projects, and put forward measures for human resource input monitoring and intervention.It is hoped to be provided reference for future similar IT project in implementation.
