Research On The Project Management Improvement About The Developement Of A Management Software For The Small And Medium Enterprises In Jiawa Company

Nowadays, with the development of science and technology, social needs is update-ing rapidly, innovation is more significant and the competition of market is gradually increased. As an IT company, the ability of project management determines its position in the market. However, the software development project is different from the general project, and that challenged the successful use of modern project management theory. So, how to combine the characteristics of the projects, and using improved solution to manage their projects has become a very important issue currently for Jiawa.In this thesis, we take an IT company named Jiawa as the research object and apply the methods, tools and theories of project management combining the characteristics of information system software development projects, then use the waterfall model of software, rapid prototyping to discuss the software development process of it further. By applying a work breakdown structure (WBS) to clarify the scope of the project work. Using Gantt charts to guide the development of the project schedule and PDCA cycle to track project progress and then to update the project schedule. Propose some suggestions concerning the acquirement, analysis, verification and confirmation of the demand of project, and the formation, construction, communication of the team, and the planning, assurance, control of the quality, the estimates, budget and control of the cost. Then proposed some implementation measures, such as, rediscover the project department, strengthen the training efforts to project management personnel, emphasize the important role of communication in project management, improve incentives conducive to project management personnel, and build scientific project team assessment system.Through this study, designed an improvement program for the software development project management of Jiawa and provided a reference for it. Meanwhile, the results of the study to other similar companies successfully use the scientific theory of project management to enhance the core competitiveness of IT enterprises have a certain significance.
