Comprehensive Evaluation Of Construction Industry Competitiveness

Construction industry as the pillar industry of national economy, plays an important role in promoting economic development.With the market opened increasingly, the construction industry competition is intensified. In 2009, the Liaoning province made a major policy decisions which is "bigger and stronger construction industry"and put forward the strategic objectives to establish a strong province in six years.Driven in this decision,the construction industry has been rapid development in our province in recent years. According to statistics,the construction industry output value has risen to the third place in 2012, becomes a big construction industry province. But at the same time,we should also find the large gap of construction industry in our province compared with Jiangsu,Zhejiang and other strong province. At present, how to improve the competitiveness of the construction industry in our province,how to ensure development healthy and quickly of construction industry and realized the goal of building strong province is an important issue we faced currently in the fierce market competition environment. Therefore,to research on this issue,has an important practical significance.This thesis took the construction industry of Liaoning province as the research object,studied by the main line of putting forward problems, analyzing problems, solving problems.First, this thesis introduced the research background and purpose of this article, combed the research status of construction industry competitiveness at home and abroad, analyzed the defects of the present study, cleared up the research content of this article. Then, summarized the related theory of industrial competitiveness, defined the research scope. Secondly, based on the characteristics of construction industry, expounded the influence factors of construction industry competitiveness deeply,established the construction industry competitiveness evaluation model of "explicit competitiveness-basal competitiveness-core competitiveness",and on this basis,established the comprehensive evaluation index system of construction industry competitiveness, including seven competition,23 competitiveness indexes.Later, used the relevant statistical data,analyzed the development status of construction industry of Liaoning province and evaluated the construction industry competitiveness through two methods. One was use the principal component analysis to compared the construction industry competitiveness of Liaoning province with other 30 provinces;the other was use shift-share method to evaluate the construction industry competitiveness Liaoning province and the national overall leve in 2008 and 2011.Combined the two methods, it was in order to clear the deficiency existing in the construction industry of our province. Finally, aimed at the results of comprehensive evaluation, put forward the relevant strategies and suggestions to promote its competitiveness.
