Development Models Of Urban Agriculture In Emerging Coastal City

Since the reform and opening up, the process of urbanization continues to accelerate in China. During this period, the structure of agriculture has been optimized, the rural economy been through rapid development, and the farmers' income been increased steadily. But the so-called “Urban Disease”,such as population growth, traffic congestion, fog and haze, resource constraints emerges in China's major cities, Making the traditional agricultural development mode and that of the modern agriculture divorced, resulting in increasingly prominent issues.In the 1970 s, the development models of urban rural integration with urban agriculture as a carrier has been through rapid growth in Europe and Japan. Since 1990 s, Shanghai, Beijing, Shenzhen and other cities have been taking the urban agriculture as an important starting point for the "vegetable basket project" and the urban-rural integration development. However, due to the fact that urban agriculture in our country was in its infancy, the urban agriculture development in these cities has been caught in many problems, resulting in the function and role of urban agriculture has not yet been fully realized. This article is based on the above background, and performs the studies on urban agriculture development model of coastal emerging cities, and taking Hanting District, Weifang City as an example.Compared with similar studies, this article is with more theoretical and practical value. The research will be helpful for the innovation of our city agriculture development research paradigm; is conducive to the integration of China's urban and rural economic development; is conducive to upgrading and optimization strategy adjustment and development mode of China's economic structure.To strengthen the systematic and scientific of this article and operability of the countermeasures, we use the combination of theories about agricultural economics, land resource science, management and mathematical statistics, also based on comparison and analysis to do the research, which was carried out with the help of three methods such as combination of theoretical analysis and empirical analysis, combination of qualitative description and quantitative analysis and combination of Data analysis and SWOT analysis. This paper mainly could be divided into six parts. The first part is Introduction, which could be seen as the research premise. The second part is theoretical analysis of urban agriculture development, which could be seen as theoretical basis of this paper. The third part is general situation of the Urban agriculture development of Hanting District, Weifang City, which could be regarded as starting point of this study. The fourth part is Feasibility Analysis for Urban agriculture development of Hanting District, Weifang City. We do the analysis from soil nutrient status, land use status and socio-economic development status of Hanting District these three aspects. Then the SWOT analysis method was adopted in the analysis for the advantage, disadvantage, opportunity and threat of urban agriculture development. As a result, the Urban agriculture area of Hanting District could be scientifically divided into three major parts, that is, comprehensive urban agriculture development area which mainly based in the urban area of Hanting, intensive urban agriculture development area which mainly based in the link belt of urban to coast area and service-oriented urban agriculture development area which mainly based in the north near the coastal development zone, this part could be seen as the focal point of this paper. The fifth part is model positioning of urban agriculture development of Hanting District. We create a new trinity urban agriculture development model which is mainly composed of eco-organic type, sightseeing type and characteristic agriculture type. Moreover, we also put forward creative countermeasures for urban agriculture development model of Hanting District, Weifang City. Finally, several examples have been presented for the verification, which was regarded as the research achievements of this paper. The last part is conclusion and discussion, which is the research summary of this paper.
