Research Of Commercial Bank’s Micro-finance Services:Credit Factory Perspective

Abstract/Summary:
Chinese SMEs have achieved rapid developments since the reform and opening up, they also have made a great contribution to the prosperity of the market and the expansion of employment. However, SMEs are facing an embarrassing predicament financing from banks due to the unsound financial information systems and unstable operating results. Meanwhile, the commercial banks began to regard SME credit business as Blue Ocean Business under the background of Reformation of Merest Rates Liberalization. Given the successful experience of bank reengineering, "Credit factory" was considered as a new effective model for SME credit business and has been gradually introduced into China in recent years.This paper tries to analyze the practical effect of "credit factory" mode from the perspective of banking structure. After combing theories of the relationship between banking structure and SME financing, bank process reengineering and "credit factory" mode, we give a detailed analysis of the process features of "credit factory" mode, which pave the way for case study of the different types of commercial banking operations. We make comparative studies of this mode carried on by banks of different sizes. Next, we implement efficiency empirical testing of "credit factory", including analysis of operating efficiency and risk control efficiency. We propose recommendations about the operation of "credit factory" mode for different types of commercial banks.Through comparative analysis, case studies and empirical analysis, this paper can draw the following conclusions:(1) "credit factory" mode are effective to domestic commercial banks as a whole, it can not only effectively improve the proportion of SME credit business but also make a good control of banking risk; (2) Introducing "credit factory" mode are more valuable towards big banks, especially reflected in the credit risk control; (3) Different types of commercial banks operate "credit factory" mode should have different emphasis. All in all, this article through summarizing the experience "credit factory" and empirical analysis of it, achieve the point that the efficiency of "credit factory" mode are different among different structures’ types of bank, and these banks should have their own focus when operating this mode.
