Laser communication in atmosphere has advantages of wide bandwidth, high data rate, good secrecy and lower power consumption, which is extremely suitable to construct safety, covered and anti-destroy communication webs among capital ships. However, it is difficult to found and keep laser communication because of the complex space environment on sea, the limited width of laser beam and the long communication distance. In order to communicate reliably, it is necessary to research special ATP(Acquisition, Pointing and Tracking) system. The function is to accept the laser signal, realize acquisition, pointing and tracking. Through this way the communication between the two ports is finished. It is a challenge for the servo control system to capture and track signal rapidly and high accurately because the naval ships move all the time. This paper presents the ATP turntable structure and servo control technique.Firstly expatiate domestic and foreign laser communication in atmosphere progress situation and explain the significance to research laser communication among naval ships.Secondly analyze the key technology of laser communication in atmosphere and laser sensor error and the result can be got that the ability laser detection has direct relation with faculae size and light intensity.Thirdly carry on a more detailed discussion to the ATP system about rough tracking control technology, and determine a vertical structure turntable with a hollow cylinder. Establish the turntable model with ANSYS, analyze its modal. Establish the turntable real multi-quality model and carry on the simulation. From the simulation result, the better tracking performance can be got according to this paper method to choose motor and driver.Finally this paper designs a fuzzy PID controller for ATP system, and compare to traditional PID, simulations show that, after adding the fuzzy control, the turntable tracking ability and the resistance to interference has been enhanced greatly. Change the rotation inertia. From the simulation result, we can see that fuzzy PID has smaller overshooting number and better friction compensation. It satisfies the azimuth robust request.
