Design And Implementation Of EtherCAT Master Station And Slave Station

With the continuous development of real-time industrial Ethernet technology,Ether CAT(Ethernet control automation technology)has become a hot spot in the field of industrial control.The Ether CAT communication frame structure adopts a standard extranet frame structure,which is formed by modifying a conventional protocol and using a special Ethernet frame type 0x88A4.Ether CAT is characterized by high speed and high data efficiency,supports a variety of physical topologies,and the system is simple in composition.The high efficiency of its transmission makes it widely used in the field of automation and real-time Ethernet.The paper first introduced the Ether CAT operating principle,communication methods,communication protocol frame structure,and addressing modes.Second,the hardware implementation scheme of Ether CAT slave is put forward,and based on the special chip of Ether CAT slave,the hardware circuit design of the slave is completed,and the realization of slave software is completed based on Ether CAT protocol.Finally,the design of the Ether CAT master station was confirmed.The master station software uses the Linux-based Simple Open Ether CAT Master as the master station software end.In order to develop the autonomous Ether CAT master station,the analysis code of the SOEM master station software is mainly analyzed,and the simple and easy to implement features of the SOEM are understood from the code level,and the understanding of the architecture of the Ether CAT system is further deepened.The main station mainly realizes the control function to the slave station,chooses the periodical process data communication way with better real-time nature,finishes the realization of Ether CAT master station software based on SOEM.Set up a master-slave station communication test platform,use the master station software SOEM to conduct communications tests,and verify the functions of the Ether CAT master and slave stations,laying the foundation for implementing complex Ether CAT communication systems.
