Beacon technology is based on low-power Bluetooth and is an information push technology.With the introduction of the Bluetooth 5.0 standard,the performance of lowpower Bluetooth technology has been significantly improved.The aim is to propose a multi-protocol Beacon system combined with Bluetooth 5.0 and Beacon technology,which can be used in indoor location and environment monitoring scenarios,and complete system design and hardware and software design.The Beacon system designed in this thesis includes hardware and software.The hardware system includes Beacon base stations and a Beacon concentrator.The concentrator and sensor-equipped base stations form a sensor network as a hardware platform for indoor environment monitoring.At the same time,Beacon base stations send location data via broadcast as positioning base stations for indoor positioning solution.The software system consists of PC-side environmental monitoring software and mobileside indoor positioning software.For the indoor environment monitoring scenario,the research idea of the traditional Bluetooth sensor network is to establish a connection between Bluetooth devices to transmit information,which can constitute a piconet and a dispersed network.The main problem of this solution is the limitation of the number of sensor nodes and.loss of efficiency due to connection.It proposed a sensor network scheme combining Beacon technology and Bluetooth 5.0.Beacon base stations collect and broadcast sensor data at a regular interval.The Beacon concentrator scans and forwards it to the host computer for monitoring.This solution can effectively reduce the efficiency of the Bluetooth connection and loss of power consumption.For the indoor positioning scenario,the positioning system needs to solve the problems of easy deployment,high precision,and low cost in a complicated indoor environment.The PDR(Pedestrian Dead Reckoning)technology uses the sensor of the mobile terminal to estimate the position in real time,but it will produce accumulated error over time.Although iBeacon fingerprinting,Wifi fingerprinting and other technologies are of high precision,there are additional overhead problems in maintaining the database.It proposed an Beacon_PDR indoor positioning algorithm based on adaptive weighted fusion and implements it on Android mobile phones in the thesis.The positioning system only needs to deploy a small number of Beacon devices in the room.It combines the MEMS sensors of smart phones to achieve fusion positioning,which ensures positioning accuracy while reducing the system cost.The thesis tested hardware and software of the Beacon system after completing the system design and implementation.Starting from the performance indicators such as power consumption and distance of the hardware,the system function and software algorithm performance are mainly verified,and the results show that the design requirements are met.
