The development of Internet architecture has brought us a lot of services,but also gradually showed the shortcomings of its architecture.The original purpose of the design of the Internet system was to realize the communication between two computers,while the current network requirements has already transfered from address based communicatation to content-based service.To carry the Internet into the future,a conceptually simple yet transformational architectural shift is required,from today's focus on where — addresses and hosts — to what — the content that users and applications care about.So named data networking(NDN)was proposed.At present,the research and architecture of named data network and its prototype are emerging,but many aspects of design and technology remain under research.This thesis mainly considers the data forwarding problem in named data network,which is separated from routing in NDN.The main work and innovation of this thesis are as follows: firstly,in view of the fact that the current research on forwarding strategies is topology independent,and in the case of probability based forwarding,the adaptability of different forwarding strategies in different network environments is not considered.From the perspective of graph theory,this thesis models the network topology environment,and then gave the definition of network adaptability expression to analyze the network adaptability of various forwarding strategies in different network environments.Then,an adaptive forwarding decision based on forwarding table(FT)was researched under various nework conditions.What is more,the comparison and analysis were made with the latest research results at last.Secondly,considering the development of Internet of things applications,the method of NDN acquisition was introduced into wireless environment.In order to improve the life cycle of named data network in wireless environment and the searching area of the required data,this thesis proposed a forwarding method considering node energy and the distance between nodes.By integrating the residual energy of nodes into the calculation of delay time in forwarding progress,on the one hand,the load of the network could be reduced and cutting down the redundancy of the network packets,on the other hand,it could reduce the energy consumption of the data sent by the nodes,improved the overall life cycle of the network.At the same time,considering the distance between the nodes,methods proposed in this thesis improved the hit rate of content acquisition.Compared with other forwarding strategies,the simulation results show that the forwarding strategy considering node energy can significantly improve the life cycle of the network.At the same time,due to expand of the searching area,significant improvement on content hit rate and decrease on retransmission rate could be obtained.In the last chapter,from the perspective of application layer,the traditional streaming media technology,such as HTTP streaming media technology,is based on the host to host network model.This model is not only inefficient in content distribution,but also makes the deployment and configuration of streaming media services more complex.This thesis designs a video streaming application simulation based on NDN,gave the naming method and video encoding and decoding method of video streaming based on NDN,and integrates the forwarding strategy proposed in Chapter 3 and Chapter 4.Finally,through the simulation the comparation between HTTP based streaming and NDN based streaming from multiple perspectives were given and analysed.
