Design And Implementation Of Translation Knowledge Base Management Platform

Translation is one of the important work of Information and Technology Department in Dalian Engineering and Technology Co.,Ltd.(DETC).With the continuous accumulation of translation documents and the continuous improvement of the company's informatization construction,the way that is used for efficiently managing the translation work and translation documents,as well as establishing a knowledge base based on mechanical translation documents in order to improve the efficiency of Information and Technology Department,enhance service awareness,strengthen the management of translation documents,form a knowledge base learned by internal staff,speed up the flow of knowledge and information,and ultimately improve the management level of DETC,has a practical significance.Translation management platform will be applied for scientific,standardized and process managing for all aspects,related personnel,related resources and related tasks in DETC translation process,which will be uniformly dispatched and cooperatively managed under the collaboration of the platform.It includes six modules: task management,knowledge base management,permission management,dictionary management,performance management and cost management.It can effectively manage all aspects of translation and translated documents,and improve enterprise's management level and efficiency.Based on the popular SSH(Struts + Hibernate + Spring)framework,the system adopts the Browser / server structure,the MVC design pattern,Oracle 11 g database management system,Eclipse development tools and the key technology of Activiti workflow and the full-text search for developing Translation Management Platform.The System has strong error processing capability and friendly human-computer interaction.Each desighed module is independent,so the system has a very powerful extensibility.The system can meet the business needs of the company's translation work.The translated documents and specialized vocabularies will be stored in the knowledge base and dictionary respectively for easy searching.Department performance and cost can be calculated quickly and accurately by Performance Management System and Cost Management System.The above functions can help company management to manage company's translation work more efficiently,improve work efficiency and speed up the circulation and reuse of translation documents.After putting into use,the Translation Management Platform is widely recognized by employees and management.
