The traffic generator[1]is an important tool for providing SDN network test bed[2]of CENI system[3]with experimental background traffic[4].The experimental researchers can carry out the relevant network experiments in the CENI system.With the development of the CENI system,more and more experimental researchers need to experiment in the CENI system and need a multi-user network traffic generator that can conduct centralized management and control of traffic generation and physical network resources and effectively distinguish between network traffic.The existing network traffic generator is mainly divided into three categories:mainly based on the hardware implementation of multi user network traffic generator,based on server virtualization of multi user network traffic generator and main software realization of multi user network traffic generator.These three categories of multi-user network traffic generators can not control the physical network resources and can not effectively distinguish the network traffic between the various experimental researchers,so it is difficult to adapt to the trend of network scale expansion,So there is a need for a new multi-user network traffic generator that can effectively control the traffic generate and control the physical network resources and be able to effectively differentiate between the experimental researchers'respective use of network traffic.In view of the demands of traffic generation in CENI system,this paper analyzes and compares the four technical solutions of SDN network virtualization[5]based on FlowVisor.Combining with the construction features of the traffic generation technology based on user behavior model,the author ultimately adopts SDN network virtualization technology based on traffic partition virtual network,and adopts modularization thinking to design the multi-user network traffic generator,which realizes that the experimental researchers can divide the virtual network on the physical network according to the difference of the network traffic generated by the traffic generator.The control layer module comprises network topology module,VLAN module and traffic generation control module.The data layer module comprises traffic forwarding sub-module and traffic generation sub-module.The control layer module of the multi-user network traffic generator is developed and realized on the basis of the Flood Light controller.The data layer adopts the traffic generators of web and streaming based on the user behavior model,and uses the OpenFlow switch for data layer networking.Finally,the function and performance of the multi user network traffic generator are tested by designing the test scenario.Test results show that in the test environment,multi-user network traffic generator can be stable to generate web and streaming network traffic,and can be divided according to the different network traffic 12 virtual network,and the authenticity of traffic and the stability of the multi user network traffic generator have reached the design goals.Unlike the other multi-user network traffic generators,the multi user network traffic generator has the characteristics of centralized management and control traffic generation,modularization and traffic isolation.This paper provides technical suggestions for the development of the traffic generator in the GENI system.
