With the rapid development of the Internet and the increasing popularity of intelligent terminals,applications based on wireless local area network(WLAN)are more and more widely implemented.Dense WLAN can provide users with high-speed internet surfing services.However,there are three noticeable unsolved issues in dense WLAN scenarios including a large channel interference,low space reuse rate as well as lacking of effective service differentiation mechanism.Although IEEE 802.11 e defines the method of providing QoS service in wireless network,this method,which has not been widely implemented,is difficult to achieve and design for a single AP instead of the whole wireless network.Software-defined wireless network(SDWN)has very good resource control and business development capabilities,it provides centralized logical control of the whole network and network awareness.These worth-noting features of SDWN architecture bring a promising solution in offering network service differentiation mechanism from the aspect of the whole network.Based on the analysis of traditional WLAN QoS services and power control technology,this thesis researches an AP power control technology for service distinguishing in SDWN.Aiming to complete the following tasks:(1)In order to solve the problem of low spatial reuse rate in dense WLAN system,this thesis designs a decentralized adaptive power control mechanism and proposes the PCON power control algorithm,the main goal is to tune transmission power to reduce unnecessary interference and increase spatial reuse while maintaining good throughputs.(2)Researching on providing differentiated service for the whole network while ensuring APs’ transmission performance,this design utilizes the SDWN’s controller to analyze data frames’ type of network services and integrates adaptive power control mechanism(3)A prototype system is designed and developed,and the AP power control experiment about the distinction between the services is conducted on the SDWN test bed.The experimental results show that this technology can ensure the whole network’s QoS services for mobiles and improve the throughput of corresponding link s,also reduce the transmission delay.This thesis researches AP power control technology of differentiated services,which will lay a good foundation for future research on energy saving based power control and inter-AP interference degradation strategies.
