In recent years,with the continuous development of 5G technology,wireless communication will be expected to enter the palace of general technology.Communication technology has evolved from the interconnection of people to people and data,these data are the most important things that people rely on in their personal and professional life.In order to meet the needs of the application,the development of wireless communication will focus on the research to make the data transfer rate faster and energy efficiency higher.Spatial modulation(SM)technology is a new multi-antenna transmission technology in recent years.It overcomes the problems and defects of the traditional MIMO technology,and has been paid more attention by the researchers.In order to achieve a balance between spectrum efficiency and energy efficiency,SM technology is proposed,but SM technology has obvious shortcomings in the detection complexity of the receiver,so the researches on new technology of antenna selection in the transmitter and detection algorithm of low complexity and excellent performance in the receiver are particularly important.First of all,the principle of SM,system diagram and mathematical model are described in this thesis.On this basis,the bit error rate(BER)performance of SM system,STBC and V-BLAST system is compared and analyzed,which highlights the advantages of SM system.For the transmitter of the SM system,this thesis has deeply analyzed and researched the M-QAM constellation and Euclidean Distance optimized Antenna Selection(EDAS)algorithm,and then propose a low complexity antenna selection algorithm based on M-QAM constellation by using the rotation symmetry of the constellations themselves.The algorithm not only avoids the high computational complexity of the EDAS algorithm,but also obtains the optimal BER performance.Then,aiming at the problem of high complexity of the detection algorithm of the SM system in the receiver,this thesis proposes a low complexity detection algorithm based on M-QAM constellation.This algorithm not only can reduce the computational complexity,but also can get the best performance meanwhile.Finally,using the coding technology to bring the performance gain,the proposed algorithm is extended to the coded SM system to realize soft output decoding detection.This thesis conducts the theoretical analysis and simulation compared with the traditional ML-based soft output decoding algorithm at last.The new soft demodulation algorithm can effectively reduce the computational complexity and obtain the similar performance of the optimal soft demodulation algorithm,and verify the effectiveness of the algorithm by computer simulation.
