Virtual reality technology is the important direction of contemporary simulation technology,developing rapidly in recent years.In different application scenarios,implementation technology changes.The virtual reality technology based on panoramic image is widely used in several scenarios,such as street view,smart home,indoor display,virtual tourism,etc.,with the advantages of high efficiency and vivid display effect.With the popularity of smart phone,panorama system based on mobile terminals has become a current research hotspot.This thesis mainly focuses on the research of panorama technology on android platform.In the image acquisition stage,we study on motion sensors and camera module on android platform,to Guide the gatherers to keep the equipment in vertical condition,remind them moving slowly enough and ensure optimal overlap ratio between adjacent images,so that there will be an appropriate image set for stitching stage.In the image stitching stage,as to image registration,we research on the robustness of ORB algorithm under the conditions of perspective transformation,brightness difference,rotation transform and scale transform.And compared with the SURF algorithm,we verify the superiority of the ORB algorithm.After getting the matched set based on ORB algorithm,RANSAC algorithm is applied to purify them,but there are still several wrong matched pairs.Aiming at this problem,some improvement methods are presented with the ORB algorithm.Experiments show that these methods not only improve the accuracy of the matched set,also reduce the running time of the algorithm.As to image fusion,we introduce the basic idea of the progressive fusion algorithm,implement its use in the application scenery of this paper,and verify its feasibility combined with its run time.In the image browsing stage,we study and implement the use of panoramagl which is an android library of panoramic image,makes the image stronger over the sense of space andinteract with user smoothly,sensitively.Based on the theoretical research,this thesis implements the panorama technology in the android platform and make a lightweight panoramic application,which is simpler and lighter compared with traditional methods.
