Passive radar has many advantages, such as excellent capability of anti-interference and favorable concealment and survival ability, because of its separated location of receiver and transmitter. It has become an important research field of modern radar. As passive radar has a large amount of data to be processed, and has critical real-time requirement,it has a high request in computer power of processors. With the emergence of high-performance multicore processros, signal processing methods based on multicore processors are developed.Based on rich internal and external memory, parallel data bus, dedicated data access and processing moduel, powerful hardware units, multicore digital signal processors(DSPs)can fulfill complex multiply-add and FFT operations of high data volumes with a high speed.Using multicore DSP to implement radar signal process is becoming a new trend. This paper mainly studies the implementation method of signal processing software based on multicore DSP for passive radar.Firstly, this paper introduces the background and research significance briefly, summarizes the development and current situation of passive radar and multicore DSP.Then, this paper studies the programming method of multicore DSP,introduces the development tools and multicore programming model based on OpenMP.Moreover, the implementation method of main signal processing algorithms of passive radar based on multicore DSP is designed. At last, this paper implementes the signal processing software based on OpenMP programming model on multicore DSP,and completes the functional testing of the software.
