As the rapidly development of the modern wireless technology,more and more higher requirements have been put forward to the antenna systems which are used in the application of new generation of communication system and radar detective areas.The low profile wideband wide angle scanning antenna array(LPWBWASAA)has the characteristics of low profile structure which can realize the integration design.It has a wideband operation property which can satisfy the need of multi-system and multifunction integration.Also it has a wide scanning angle that can prove a wide space scanning and the maximum user coverage.This kind of antenna array can meet the development requirements of the modern antenna system.This thesis did the detailed researches on the LPWBWASAA.The research of low profile wide band multi-beam lens antenna(LPWBMLA)and low profile wide band phased array antenna(LPWBPAA)have been included in the paper.Firstly,the background,the research significance and the domestic and overseas research status have been introduced.And then the research of LPWBMLA will be introduced,it contains the following contents:1.Combining with the theories of LPWBMLA,one dimensional multi-beam lens antenna will be designed detailed.A small feed antenna structure based on V band has been proposed.The design and analysis of the horizontal multi-beam cover structure has been presented.After the measurement,this kind of antenna has been successfully designed;2.Researches on the two dimensional multi-beam parallel plate cylindrical dielectric lens antenna array have been presented.The butler matrix has been used to realize an integrated multi-beam lens antenna.The difficulty of the beam scanning in vertical plane has been successfully solved with this kind of structure.With the measurement results and the analysis of the side-lobe degradation,the two dimensional multi-beam parallel plate cylindrical dielectric lens antenna array has been successfully designed.3.In order to solve the side-lobe degradation,a side-lobe suppression structure has been proposed.The simulation and measurement have been combined to suppress the side-lobe below –10 dB.At the same time,the miniaturized wideband feed structure has been realized.The research of LPWBPAA mainly contains the following contents:1.The theories of tightly coupled array and wide angle matching dielectric have been introduced to do the original design.And a low profile unbalance feeding structure has been used.The one dimensional linear polarized LPWBPAA has been designed.2.In order to solve those problems exist in the linear polarized LPWBPAA,the amendments of array element have been proposed to make the one dimensional dual polarized LPWBPAA.The fabricated antenna has been test and the errors in the measurement has been analyzed detailed.
