Image mosaic technology is a research hotspot of computer vision and image processing,and the panoramic image mosaic technology is developed with virtual reality technology which realized by image mosaic technology.This technology uses a series of relevant pictures to create a high resolution image which has wide angle of view and high depth of field through technical methods and it has a good development prospect in the fields of virtual reality,image processing,video monitoring,surveying and mapping,etc.With the continuous development of the application of image mosaic system,the requirements of system in performance indexes such as accuracy,real-time and stability are keeping increasing.At the same time,it needs to further extend a flexible and multi-function remote support platform.The research of HD panoramic images,the theme of this paper,is based on study and optimization of the theory of image mosaic algorithm.Through that,this paper realizes the panoramic image mosaic algorithm on DSP processor,then designs and implements a real-time panoramic image mosaic application system that support the remote operation.This paper focuses on the algorithm and realization of high-resolution panoramic image mosaic,and mainly completes the following research work.The research and optimization of image Mosaic algorithm.Based on the study of basic algorithm of image mosaic,this paper focuses on the high complexity and time consuming defects of the existed image mosaic algorithm.This paper proposes optimization algorithm which based on local feature point extraction & matching and the general strategy which based on fixing transformation matrix of related areas.These algorithm optimizations compress the range of feature points to relevant local areas,which improve the proportion of effective feature points for mosaic requirement,and fix transformation matrix based on the characteristics of the system.The optimizations reduce the image mosaic algorithm complexity,and improve the efficiency of image mosaic processing.The realization of image mosaic algorithm on DSP processor.On the basis of theoretical research,the image mosaic algorithm is transplanted to the DM8168 DSP processor(by TI Company)in this paper.First,Image data is obtained through three cameras.Then,uses the Link of McFW send image data to the AlgLink in DSP core to do image mosaic processing,including image preprocessing,image registration,image matching and fusion.Next,realizing the human-computer interaction function bases on the terminal of serial port.Finally,the mosaic results are showed in A8 core.From those methods,this paper realizes the mosaic of HD images in the panoramic 180°angle of view on DSP processor.The means of realizing the mosaic algorithm need less hardware resources and also can be easily transplanted.Design and implementation of HD panoramic image mosaic system.In this paper,the panoramic image mosaic algorithm is applied to embedded systems,on the basis of the realization of the image mosaic algorithm.This system realization uses the key processor DM8168 to accomplish video capturing,video stitching,H.264 coding,etc.The system uses the DM8168 and remote devices to realize the server and client function.Setting up the socket communication mechanism between the server and the client enables the user to obtain the panoramic video screen after processing.At the same time,the system provides an extensible open framework that can be easily extended on the platform.
