Study On The Variants Of Book Of Filial Piety

Based on the variants between the popular version of Book of Filial Piety and its different versions like Dunhuang edition,Tulufan edition,Carved stone edition,and Yiwencongshu edition,this papermakes a comprehensive analysis and discussion of the variants in Book of Filial Piety from the perspective of the development of Chinese characters.Chapter one is the Preface.It makes a brief description of the significance of the topic.In the second section,the research status of Book of Filial Piety and the research methods adopted in this paper are introduced.While in the third section,the basic information of each version is given and comparison is made between the popular version and other versions from chapters,contents,and texts.The second chapter is Variants Analysis.This chapter,which is the main part of this paper,includes the variants both in the preface and chapter other than the analysis of the variants in texts.the variantsthe texts are firstly listedrespectively,and then the analysis of the variants is made.The third chapter is The Characteristics of the Variants inBook of Filial Piety.In the first section,the cause of the variants inBook of Filial Pietyis analyzed from diachronism,subjectivity and the development of the variants.While in the second section,the types of variants in Book of Filial Piety are summarized;in the third section,the collation of Book of Filial Piety is briefly discussed.An appendix,which mainly lists the variants in Book of Filial Piety in the form of a table is attached at the end of this paper.
