With the rise of cloud computing, one of the key technology of virtualization technology become the focus of field once again.Virtualization technology as a specific support of cloud computing, used in the cloud server to achieve efficient operation of the different applications.By the virtual machine using device virtualization can simulate a complete set of hardware platform. In time-sharing processing methods will be shared by the machine hardware and abstract a middle layer separating the operating system and hardware environment. In this way,the server's physical resources be abstracted logic resources.A server is separated into several or even dozens of isolated virtual servers which are no longer limited by physical boundaries. Then, the CPU,memory,disk,I/O hardware and so on are integrated into a dynamic management "pool",which improve the efficiency and the utilization of computer hardware resource and strengthen the hardware compatibility.First, this paper introduces the concept and key technology of cloud computing and for a brief overview of each virtualization technology industry. Then, this paper researches the solution based on Intel x86 architecture of virtualization technology Kernel-based Virtual Machine(KVM)system architecture.KVM is analyzed by basic principle, components and modular structure.KVM virtualization environment construction and QEMU/KVM core component are discussed in a computer system of the principle, configuration and practice process. On the basis, live migration network topology and experimental environment of the virtual machine are constructed.Through the new instructions of huge page,CPU,memory and other features, virtual machines implement dynamic migration. Finally,KVM virtual machines and non-virtualization in the native system run the same benchmark.A comparison of the virtual machine and non-virtualization in the native system. The paper Analyzes andevaluates the virtualization mode in three aspects of the CPU,memory and I/O.
