Frequency Selective Surface(FSS)is a periodic structure, which is sensitive to specific frequency of the incident wave, and exhibits effect of selective transmission or reflection. From a functional point of view, the frequency selective surface,is a space filter.Studies have shown that highly selective frequency selective surfaces can simplify the engineering steps and replace the role of complex signal processing in many cases. On the base of the basic design method of periodic structure filter.By using the theory of equivalent circuit and waveguide knowledge, innovative designs have been realized to achieve highly selective frequency selective surface performance. The main work of this paper is design of two kinds of highly selectivity frequency selective surfaces. One is an improved design of traditional unit form based on the theory of equivalent series and parallel circuit.Through the coupling of the "ring-shaped" cell and the"cross-shaped" cell, the frequency selective surface frequency with band-pass steep drop response is obtained, with less processing difficulty, simple structure and higher selectivity.Another structure is based on waveguide theory, using higher order mode of rectangular waveguide and circular waveguide to improve frequency selectivity, which not only increases the bandwidth of FSS,but also gets the feature of stable frequency response. The novelties of this thesis are:(1)A simplified FSS has been implemented;(2)FSS with high-selectivity has been realized in ways of parallel-circuit and SIW.
