The large-scale application of Dense wavelength division multiplexing(DWDM)optical fiber communication system has made the demand for tunable lasers in the industry gradually increase."Adjustable"here means that the laser can work in single mode and the lasing wavelength/frequency can be adjusted within a certain range by external control.In recent years,at the network level of optical networks,the development of optical network with dynamic and reconfigurable functions gradually becomes the mainstream.At the optical transmission level,the rise of coherent detection technology makes optical communication networks more attractive in terms of transmission rate,Capacity and transmission distance again and again to refresh the record.With this trend,the role of narrow linewidth tunable laser in the field of optical fiber communications has become increasingly prominent.In the field of optical fiber sensing,narrow linewidth tunable laser also has a wide range of applications.Therefore,with the large-scale application of coherent detection technology in the field of optical fiber communication and optical fiber sensing,the demand for tunable lasers,especially narrow linewidth tunable lasers,has rapidly increased,and related researches are also proceeding in full swing.The purpose of this research is to study and apply a key technology of linear narrow linewidth tunable laser.The main research work and achievements are as follows:1.The principle and key technologies of tunable laser with narrow linewidth are analyzed,and the tunable lasers with different implementations are compared.2.For the FBG tunable laser and the diffraction grating tunable laser,the modeling and simulation are respectively carried out,and the parameters affecting the laser line width,output power and threshold gain are analyzed.3.The principle analysis and experimental research on the application of narrow linewidth tunable laser in OFDR system are carried out.The distributed sensing system based on OFDR system is built,and the laser control software and data acquisition software of the system are compiled.Finally,the software part and the whole testing system are tested.
