Dialogue Transmission Under Bakhtin Theory

The 21 st century is not only an era of information globalization but also an era of civilization clashes.In the process of communication,individuals often disagree with each other because of different opinions.There are also embarrassing situations,such as “communication impassability” and “communication unacceptability” between different countries in the process of cultural communication.Dialogue is the essence of cultural communication and a symbol of human morality and rationality.It has established an interactive relationship for different individuals and actors to negotiate and open up to each other,which also allows the self and the other to mutual examine the presence,including value,lifestyle and social norms.Human civilization has been forged ahead and enriched through dialogue,which both determines the production and sharing of knowledge as well as the history and vitality of different countries and culture.In the global society,on which different actors are highly reliant,it is the propositions proposed to all individuals,groups,organizations,nations and cultures to carry out sustainable interaction among actors,to develop mental abilities,and to open up human transcultural communication dialogue space so as to promote the evolution of international community and the progress of the era.Theodore Zeldin,professor of Oxford University and a famous contemporary thinker,in his book Dialogue points out,“The 21 st century needs a new kind of ambition: conversation instead of talk.Dialogue changes people,while a real dialogue could ignite passion rather than sending or receiving information.” So it is of great importance to take the dialogue as a tool to establish a harmonious society and shape the good image of China.The interdisciplinary dialogue of the humanities has also become a trend and the tendency.The dialogue theory of Bakhtin injects new blood for the development of communication science.Therefore,this thesis will explore dialogue communication,the new area of communication science,on the basis of Bakhtin’s dialogue theory and analyze it practical significance.The thesis consists of six parts.The first introduction part includes the origin of research,the summary of existing research,the theoretical basis,the main content,the research methods,as well as innovations of the research.The second part abstracts and summaries Bakhtin’s dialogue theory.The third part analyzes Bakhtin’s polyphonic theory and carnival theory,discusses these influence on communication science.The fourth part mainly explains the mechanism of dialogue communication,including its concept,characteristics,principles,and significance.In the fifth part,it mainly focuses on the use of dialogue communication,and discusses its practical significance in the construction of a harmonious society and the shaping of the national image.
