Survey Report On The Use Of Emotion In Social Media

In the information age,digital media relies on digital network technology,and quickly and forcefully infiltrates into every corner of social life.The rise of social media has also opened up new platforms for the performance of network visual elements and provided new models for the dissemination of information.As a visual symbol,Emotions are created and developed in the Internet environment,and can be used to simulate expressions,gestures and movements of non-linguistic symbols such as text,images and symbols.The emotion has been developing for a long time and has become a new expression and cultural phenomenon in the online society.In these years,university students are the main group of emotion using.This study was conducted through the survey of college students in Zhengzhou,the findings as follow: In the use of emotion,this behavior is generally healthy.Grade,platform,network social status and gender will influence university students' choice and use of Emotion.In terms of cognition,university students' attitude to Emotion is relatively rational.To have a positive evaluation,and use frequency were positively correlated.The main reason for using emoticons is to express real feelings and show personality.After digging deep into the research results,it is found that the use of emotion is also important in the acquisition of personal identity and the reparation of the network weak coronal system.Although emotions are popular,behind them,there are also problems.The first one is that the emoticons have made the college students' social networking becoming shallow.Furthermore,the propagation process provides a growing environment for negative emotions.Lastly,the content of emotion is excessive entertainment,which may dissolve the mainstream culture.Coping with these problems requires the joint efforts of college students and expression designers.For university students,should strengthen self-discipline and improve self-cultivation.For designers,to optimize the expression design,enrich the user's visual experience.Overall,the use of emoticons is generally healthy and controllable.Although emoticons have disadvantages,the advantages outweigh the disadvantages,and the future development is bright.
