With the popularization of the internet,the network bandwidth is significantly improved,which puts forward higher requirements for the traditional optical network.The transmission capacity of WDM system is up to several Gbit/s even to Tbit/s,it requires high-speed signal processing in the node of optical network.In the current optical network,which the optical signals are converted to electric signals for further processing.However,the defect of electronic bottleneck constrains the speed of signal processing.Optical signal process is regarded as one of key technologies to improve the processing speed and of network.In particular,optical logic gate has been recognized as one of the key elements of optical signal processing to realize optical network functionalities,such as header/label processing,parity check,data encryption and so on.Therefore,Optical logic gate has potential application in the future optical networks.In this paper,we proposed optical logic based on four-wave mixing effect in HNLF,the main research and originality is as follow:(1)In today's heterogeneous networks,many different modulation formats coexist,and thus it is significant to implement optical logic gate among different modulation formats for ultrafast signal processing.Therefore,multichannel all-optical XOR logic gates for BPSK and QPSK signals based on four wave mixing in highly nonlinear fiber are proposed and analyzed.(2)Then,a dual-channel optical encryption scheme based on hybrid modulation format XOR gates between BPSK and QPSK signals is proposed and analyzed.By precise control on polarization state,pump power,and choosing more efficient HNLF,we believe expected results could be obtained in the actual experiment.(3)Based on exiting researched scheme of addition and subtraction,we summarize the laws of Multi-band principles.We also summarize the laws of hybrid addition and subtraction.(4)Focusing on the hybrid modulation format XOR gates,a scheme of three-input hybrid modulation format optical logic gate is proposed.The operation principle of the proposed HFM-XOR gates are validated through simulation.
