Wavelength division multiplexing/time division multiplexing(WDM/TDM)passive optical networks(PON)is being viewed as a promising solution for delivering multiple services and applications.The hybrid WDM/TDM PON uses the wavelength and bandwidth allocation strategy to control the distribution of the wavelength channels in the uplink direction,so that it can ensure the high bandwidth requirements of multiple Optical Network Units(ONUs)while improving the wavelength resource utilization.Through the investigation of the presented dynamic bandwidth allocation algorithms,these algorithms can't satisfy the requirements of different levels of service very well while adapting to the structural characteristics of mixed WDM/TDM PON system.This paper proposes a bandwidth allocation algorithm based on the hybrid three-channel TDM/WDM network system architecture.Furthermore,this paper has also proposed a wavelength timeslot bandwidth allocation algorithm based on the load factor authorization mechanism.1.This paper focus on the study of the hybrid three-channel TDM/WDM PON architecture to meet the technical and cost requirements of the smooth upgrade of the system.The character of the hybrid three-channel TDM/WDM PON architecture is studied in this paper and the extended MPCP protocol has been studied to improve the performance of the system.2.This paper also proposes a TD-DWBA algorithm for the resource-scheduling strategy of this system.The flexible and dynamic subcycles have been introduced to meet themulti-priority traffic needs according to the network load condition.The simulation results show that the hybrid scheduling strategy can greatly improve the performance of hybrid TDM/WDM PON system.3.This paper creatively combines the load factors and DWBA to implement on the hybrid TDM/WDM PON communication system.In this way,the system could improve the utilization of bandwidth resources and satisfy the QoS at the same time which will benefit the performance tremendously.And the simulation result shows that this new scheme made a better performance than traditional algorithms.
